They refer to two different kinds of senior living housing and services. What many people call a nursing home or a skilled nursing home, is what Ecumen calls long-term care. Long-term care is for individuals who require 24-hour care. Ecumen Sand Prairie does not offer long-term care services. Our assisted living community offers active residents a private apartment home with a kitchen, refrigerator, range, meal plan, private bathroom, and a customized care plan with regularly scheduled visits from an onsite expert care team.
When a loved one needs more continuous care than Home Care services can provide in their current living environment, our assisted living community is a great housing and services option for them (and their family) because of the peace of mind that comes with a safe environment, a customized care plan and regularly scheduled visits from an onsite expert care team.
No, at this time we do not have offer memory care. However, if you’re looking for memory care services for a loved one, we recommend two of our local sister communities Ecumen Prairie Hill (St. Peter) and Ecumen Pathstone (Mankato).
