Executive Director
Becca’s favorite local things to do are visiting the Mill City Farmers Market, walking along the Mississippi River and across the Stone Arch Bridge, and discovering new walking trails to explore. Whether it’s enjoying lunch on the steps of Water Works Park or people-watching in the sun at Gold Medal Park, there’s always something peaceful and energizing about this urban neighborhood.
Away from work, Becca is with her son, who definitely keeps her on her toes! Together, they love being outside as much as possible and spending time with family. Whether it’s soccer practice, a park adventure, or just playing in the backyard, these moments are favorites.
Assistant Executive Director
As Assistant Executive Director, Brett is responsible for fostering a supportive, values-driven environment where our team feels empowered to provide compassionate, high-quality care for our residents. She bridges organizational leadership with human-centered practices to create a workplace where team members thrive and consequently help our residents do the same. In her role, Brett most enjoys supporting team members so they can excel at providing person-centered care and assistance with dignity for residents in a safe environment. Originally from Blaine, MN, Brett joined Ecumen in 2026, inspired by the core values that guide our mission.
Brett’s favorite local place is Lake Nokomis, where she likes to walk, paddleboard and, in the winter months, ice dip.
Away from work, Brett is outdoors whenever possible—walking, hiking, backpacking, paddleboarding, gardening—to relax and recharge.
Senior Living Consultant
As a Senior Living Consultant, Brandyn is responsible for introducing individuals and families to our Abiitan Mill City community and to the personalized care plans available in our continuum of care. In his role, he loves creating new connections by engaging with prospective residents and their families to learn about their past and present journeys. You’ll most often see him providing guided tours of our community and neighborhood as he draws connections between the interests, care needs and lifestyle goals of his guests. Originally from Waunakee, WI, Brandyn joined Ecumen in 2021, a natural progression from his teenage pursuits of playing guitar and singing songs in a Memory Care community. Be sure to ask him if he still plays.
Brandyn’s favorite local thing to do is discover unique and delicious dining options in Minneapolis, such as Hola Arepa, Hai Hai or Chimborazo.
Away from work, Brandyn is most likely riding bike trails around the greater Twin Cities in the warmer months or cooking chili and other hearty meals in the colder months.
Clinical Quality Coordinator
As Clinical Quality Coordinator, Shelby is responsible for supporting the clinical team by coordinating resident care and services, combined with ensuring our Resident Assistants (RAs) have the resources they need to be successful in their role. To her role, she brings seven years of experience serving the senior population, including the conducting of assessments for maintaining independent living at Keystone Community Services, identifying cognitive impairment in memory care at Minneapolis Veterans Home, and serving as a scheduling coordinator at Joyful Companions Home Care. Shelby earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work (2019), and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare and Human Services Administration (2022). Originally from the Twin Cities, Shelby joined Ecumen in 2026, eager to support our unique Abiitan community.
Away from work, Shelby loves being outdoors as much as possible in every season—paddleboarding on the lakes, biking, and skiing. She deeply values the gift of having aunts, uncles, cousins, and their kids, living in the Twin Cities area. She’s also an ardent traveler, having visited 33 countries to date. Ask her which country is next on her list.
