Two strong and active volunteer groups serve our campus community and the greater Duluth area. Volunteer members of Ecumen Lakeshore Auxiliary raise funds in support of projects big and small. Volunteers with our Home-Delivered Meals program bring nutritious meals to the homes of seniors across the greater Duluth area. No matter how or when they offer their time and energy, volunteers help us make our community the best it can be for the people we serve. That’s why we’re always looking for more volunteers like you.
With a primary goal of fundraising, the auxiliary volunteers organize, and host Used Treasure Sales throughout the year. The funds are contributed to remodeling projects, special events, or to buy items that enhance the community. Auxiliary volunteers meet once a month to plan events that benefit our residents and care teams in many ways. Some examples include:
Volunteers in our program contribute to the packing and delivery of meals to seniors who live in the greater Duluth area and have difficulty getting the quality nutrition they need. Most volunteers commit to being available one day a week, but our weekly schedule is flexible to accommodate our most passionate volunteers during five days of operation.
