Clinical Director
As our Clinical Director, Gerri oversees day-to-day clinical care for residents at our Ecumen Sand Prairie and Ecumen Prairie Hill communities. In her role, she most enjoys her daily interactions with residents while providing personalized care. Originally from Mankato, MN, Gerri joined Ecumen in 2026, drawn to Ecumen’s reputation for quality senior living care and services.
Gerri’s favorite local place is the outdoors, where she enjoys doing anything meaningful and rejuvenating.
Away from work, Gerri is most often engaged in some form of exercise, reading and sharing time with family.
Housing Director
As our Housing Director for Ecumen Sand Prairie and Ecumen Prairie Hill communities, David is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure that residents receive the highest level of care in a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment. A calm and steady presence behind the scenes, David brings clarity, encouragement and guidance for our residents and their families, as well as our team members in maintenance, housekeeping and reception who are vital to our community’s vibrance. Making a positive difference in the lives of our residents is a favorite outcome of his role. Originally from San Marcos, TX, David joined Ecumen in 2026, attracted by our values and the genuine sense of purpose he witnessed in everyone he met during interviews for this position. He says the support he’s experienced from day one has been truly unmatched in his career.
David’s favorite local place to visit is the St. Peter Co-Op where a variety of organic produce is destined for his basket.
Away from work, David enjoys the outdoors with his family, as well as attending church each Sunday. Staying connected as a husband and father, and keeping grounded in faith, help guide how he lives and how he serves others.
Dining Manager
As Dining Manager for our Ecumen Sand Prairie and Ecumen Prairie Hill communities, Karina is responsible for concept development, menu innovation and mentoring culinary talent with a goal of bringing people together through exceptional food experiences. She leads with creativity, purpose and a commitment to excellence, shaping culinary programs that inspire teams and delight guests. In her role, Karina often fields questions from individuals and families eager to better understand details about daily dining at our communities, and she enjoys making time to listen and learn about preferences. She is honored by the opportunity to make a positive impact on people’s lives everyday through food and hospitality. Karina believes a great meal can bring comfort, create connections, and turn an ordinary day into something special. With this in mind, she builds and mentors a strong culinary team, fostering creativity and creating an environment where everyone takes pride in their work. Originally from Woodbury, MN, Karina joined Ecumen in 2025, drawn to senior living through her belief that food has the power to make a positive impact every day. She feels a strong sense of purpose in bringing comfort, enjoyment and nourishment to residents during their golden years.
Karina’s favorite thing about the area is the abundance of hiking trails, especially the Red Jacket Trail. She also enjoys camping at Minneopa State Park, where she can spend hours outdoors and appreciate the natural beauty of the region.
Away from work, Karina is most likely gardening, exploring the outdoors or trying new culinary offerings at restaurants. She also enjoys traveling and discovering new destinations, experiences and cultures.
Senior Living Consultant
As Senior Living Consultant for our Ecumen Sand Prairie and Ecumen Prairie Hill communities, Sara is responsible for introducing individual and families to our communities and guide them in their search for a new home. She genuinely enjoys sharing what makes our communities such a wonderful place to call home, providing comfort, reassurance, and support as someone begins a new chapter in their life. The highlight of her day is having meaningful conversations with prospective residents about all the options available to them. She knows her guidance and insight makes a difference every day, and this brings her great joy. Originally from Montgomery, MN, Sara moved to St. Peter in 2017 and joined Ecumen in 2021, bringing over 16 years of experience in property management, with a background that spans many different areas of the field. In Ecumen, she found an organization that truly values a cares for both its residents and team members.
Sara’s favorite local thing to do is going out for a meal at a nice restaurant with family and friends.
Away from work, Sara is most likely at home sharing quality time with her daughter. Evenings in the warmer months are for sitting outside on the deck, perhaps entertaining family and friends.
