GENERAL TOPICS

Ecumen is a Shoreview-based company that owns and operates a broad spectrum of senior housing communities across Minnesota, with a spirit of all-encompassing care, empowering individuals to live richer, fuller lives.

We work hard to meet the special dietary needs of residents and can accommodate most requests. 

Ecumen Point Pleasant Heights is a smoke-free community. 

Yes, a single dog or cat is allowed per unit. The pet must weigh 35 lbs or less and be vaccinated with all papers copied to our file. Requires a one-time, non-refundable $1,000 pet deposit fee. Pets must be on a leash at all times when out of their unit. Residents must have someone available to care for their pet in case they are unable due to scheduled or unscheduled health events.

An unsigned, blank copy of our Admission Agreement is available on request.

INDEPENDENT LIVING APARTMENTS

Included utilities: electric, water, trash, recycling, satellite TV, wireless internet, and community wireless internet (Wi-Fi). 

Telephone service is not included in the monthly service fee.

Yes. For Independent Living in our apartment homes, the fee is $240/month.

Attached and detached, unheated garages are available for $70/month with cubby, and $55/month without a cubby. Visitors are welcome to park on our surface lot. 

Yes. Storage units are available to all apartment residents at no cost. 

You simply provide us with a one calendar month written notice.

Residents contract with outside agencies of their choice for home care services and assistance with personal care, therapy, and skilled nursing as needed. 

Yes, our hospitality apartment suite can be reserved by resident guests for $90/night. The suite includes a small kitchenette with sink, microwave, mini fridge and cabinets, a queen bed and a full sofa sleeper, full bathroom, and a TV with digital channels. 

What is commonly referred to as a retirement home is what we call an independent living apartments, where active residents are not in need of ongoing care services, live in a private apartment home, and share common spaces with our campus townhome residents. 

Residents of our apartments and townhomes enjoy many of the same private and community amenities. The primary differences include: Townhomes have a private attached, unheated garage; Townhome living room ceilings are vaulted; Townhomes have a private patio; All townhomes have in-unit washer and dryer, whereas only some apartments have in-unit laundry; Apartments provide access to interior common spaces without exiting the building.

No, not for a second occupant in our townhomes. 

Townhomes have an attached, unheated garage for resident convenience. Visitors are welcome to park on our surface lot or street parking.

No. Our townhome residents use their attached garage and interior closet space for storage. 

You simply provide us with a one calendar month written notice. 

Yes, meals are available for purchase in our community dining room.
