Ecumen Celebrates National Nursing Home Week

May 8 to 14, 2016, is National Nursing Home Week, which is part of May's Older Americans Month. This year's theme of National Nursing Home Week is "It's a Small World, with a Big Heart" to commemorate the New York World's Fair of the 1960s, a historical time for older adults. The American Health Care Association (AHCA), established the commemorative week in 1967.

National Nursing Home Week is an excellent time for everyone to relfect on their role and how best to contribute to improving the lives of residents, patients and clients, as well as improving both the skills of the professional and the public perception of the profession.

Ecumen honors all staff and residents, who make our communities great places to live and work. Learn more about National Nursing Home Week here.
