Executive Director
As Executive Director, Emily focuses on supporting our team’s growth, creating opportunities for professional development, and fostering open, compassionate communication throughout our community. She believes in being present for residents and team members—whether it’s a quick check-in, sharing a laugh, or offering support during a challenging moment—she enjoys building those everyday connections with residents and team members. In her role, Emily finds fulfillment supporting residents and treating them like family within a community space that is their home. Originally from Apple Valley, MN, Emily’s passion for helping people—whether through volunteering, participating in community events, or supporting others in everyday ways—led her to a career in healthcare, including various roles across hospitals and clinics throughout the Twin Cities. Following the pandemic, she discovered a deep sense of purpose in contributing to the success of senior living communities. Seeing that her values aligned perfectly with Ecumen’s and its mission, Emily joined us in 2022. Leading a team that focuses on compassion, dignity, and truly personalized care is incredibly meaningful to her.
Emily’s favorite local place is the Minnesota Zoo. For her it’s not only a fun place to visit but also a place that holds special meaning since the School of Environmental Studies (the Zoo School), is her high school alma mater. Local parks are another favorite of hers to walk, relax, and enjoy time with family.
Away from work, Emily is most likely out in her garden during the warmer months or on the go any time of year with her husband and kids as they chase activities and gather with friends and extended family.
Clinical Director
As our Clinical Director, Kim provides strategic and clinical leadership to ensure the highest standards of care for our residents. She is responsible for evaluating and implementing protocols, managing risk, and maintaining compliance with regulations. In her role, she manages a diverse team of individuals by offering insight, supervision and support, while collaborating with all departments to align clinical objectives with financial, operational, and quality improvement goals. Knowing that her decisions contribute to both individual well-being and the overall success of the community is what motivates her every day. Kim finds it incredibly rewarding to mentor her team, solve clinical challenges, and create a culture where both residents and caregivers feel valued. Originally from Prior Lake, MN, Kim joined Ecumen in 2024 drawn by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents every day. Whether through providing support, companionship, or simply being present, Kim finds a deep sense of purpose in her work.
Kim’s favorite local place is a speakeasy bar and restaurant in Eagan. She says the vibe is quiet and calm with excellent food and drinks. If you can’t find it—shhhh—ask Kim for a hint.
Away from work, Kim is most often snuggled up with a good fantasy or dystopian genre book and at least a couple of her six animals (three dogs, three cats) right beside her.
Senior Living Consultant
As a Senior Living Consultant, Nancy is responsible for guiding residents and their families in their search for housing and services. In her role, she loves the opportunity to be the first tour for a family’s introduction to senior living options. Her experience brings valuable insights for comparing a variety of considerations and understanding the most important questions to ask toward making the best decision for themselves or a loved one. Originally from neighboring Lakeville, MN, Nancy joined Ecumen in 2016 following a career in the hotel industry where helping military veterans plan their reunions became her favorite duty. Naturally, her role with Ecumen is not only close to her home but also close to her heart.
Nancy’s favorite local places to visit are the numerous coffee shops for meeting a friend or colleague to talk about her grandchildren.
Away from work, Nancy is most likely with her husband traveling to various state parks for long camping weekends or on their annual camper roadtrip to Florida. Their four married children and seven grandchildren keep them busy even when the camper is idle.
Dining Manager
As our Dining Manager, Jennie is responsible for overseeing our dining menu and vendor contracts but is most inspired to create a welcoming and comforting dining experience that feels like home. She knows mealtime is a powerful connector and is quick to accommodate dietary needs, food preferences, or cultural traditions. She loves being a part of bringing the daily moments of comfort, conversation, and community to our residents, families and team members. In her role, Jennie treasures getting to know the residents and seeing the joy that a favorite meal or a shared table can bring. Originally from Golden Valley, MN, Jennie joined Ecumen in January of 2025 drawn by the opportunity to make a difference in the daily lives of our senior population. She believes that food is a personal and emotional element of care and well-being, and finds it incredibly rewarding to support residents through compassion, consistency, and the dignity of every meal.
Jennie’s favorite thing to do is find new places to eat. Her new favorite spot is Iconos Cantina in South Minneapolis, where she says, “The food is amazing!”
Away from work, Jennie is recharged by watching her kiddo’s athletic activities, traveling and, of course, trying new foods to feed her creative inspiration.
