Brett Busby

Executive Director

As our Executive Director, Brett is responsible for leading our community in maintaining safe and secure environments for all residents and team members and operating with fiscally sound methods. In his role, Brett appreciates the in-person relationships that grow with each resident through daily conversation, something he nurtures by sharing photos of his growing daughter and bringing in his dogs who residents know by name. He’s proud of the atmosphere and close-knit community created in combination by cottage-style homes, convenient gathering spaces, kind residents, and compassionate team members. Originally from Hawley, MN, Brett joined Ecumen in 2023 in his current position as he was preparing to become a new dad. He believed that leading the two communities was an extra good fit for him because he knew his daughter would be proud of her dad’s work.

Brett’s favorite local place is his alma mater, NDSU, where he earned a B.A. degree and met lifelong friends. He visits campus regularly to watch football and basketball games and considers the university a pillar of the greater Fargo community.

Away from work, Brett enjoys activities with his daughter and partner, Casey, and their extended families. He loves being outside working in the yard if he’s not hunting, fishing, hiking with his dogs, camping, or exploring Minnesota.

Ashley Lehn, RN CD

Clinical Director

As our Clinical Director, Ashley is responsible for ensuring quality of care for our residents by supporting the skilled nurses and resident assistants of our care team. In her role, she often guides family members in determining how our available services can best support a loved one’s personal care needs. Ashley feels privileged to be part of their journey and is always eager to listen. She prides herself in providing compassionate support, clear communication, and thorough follow-up to ensure everyone’s needs are met. In her role, she finds the greatest joy in the unique personalities of the residents and listening to their individual stories. Originally from Fargo, ND, Ashley saw a natural fit between her passion for elder care and Ecumen and joined the organization in 2021 as a Registered Nurse to pursue a career in caring for older adults.

Ashley’s favorite local spot is The Lights in West Fargo because they host fun events throughout the year that she enjoys with family and friends.

Away from work, Ashley adores being with her family whether at home (relaxing, baking and playing), or out and about (visiting the zoo, shopping, hanging out by the lakes, and traveling).

Rebecca Kpor, CQC

Clinical Quality Coordinator

As Clinical Quality Coordinator serving the communities of Ecumen Evergreens of Fargo and Moorhead, Rebecca is responsible for collaborating with leadership and team members to identify improvement opportunities in the clinical setting, and to design, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives on an ongoing basis. Putting her attuned skills as an effective listener, educator and multi-tasker to work, Rebecca enjoys talking with team members and learning about their daily interactions with residents and families. In her words, “it brings me warmth to hear their stories and be an attentive resource for them.” Originally from Rochester, NY, Rebecca joined Ecumen in 2025 following experience in large senior living environments where it’s more difficult to get to know the residents. She was drawn to our communities because our smaller, intimate atmosphere makes her work with seniors more meaningful and personable.

Rebecca’s favorite local place is Tropical Spice Caribbean Cuisine. She says the Jamaican food amazing and hands down the best she’s ever had.

Away from work, Rebecca finds calm in keeping her home clean. She readily admits that perhaps she cleans more than the average person. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and chatting about their individual relationships with Christ. Cleaning, chatting, and Christ. All these bring her peace and help her balance the busyness of work.
